Volunteer
There are many exciting and rewarding volunteer opportunities with us. In
fact, all our work and events could not be done without the participation of
so many wonderful members of our community!
Each spring and fall, we sponsor Art at the Mill, which has become a
cultural and social highlight of our region. And it takes an incredible
amount of work to pull it off. Help us hang the art, decorate the mill, or
serve as a gallery assistant for the two weeks of the show - there are many
fun jobs from which to choose.
Activities for volunteers in the museum and archives include greeting
visitors, helping to set up exhibits, maintaining the facility, data entry,
sharing information with visitors, selling books and other items, processing
archival materials, and researching genealogical inquiries.
There is always something to do at the Burwell-Morgan Mill! Help us grind
wheat and corn on Saturdays during grinding season (May - November), greet
visitors when we're open Thursdays through Sundays, help tend the beautiful
Mill grounds, sell our ground cornmeal to visitors - we have a great team of
"millrats" that will welcome you.
