Museum Administrator (part-time)
Museum Administrator Job Duties
($18 an hour for 20 hours a week)
The Clarke County Historical Association is looking to hire a part-time, 20 hour a week Museum Assistant
to assist the staff with day to day tasks at our History Center in downtown Berryville. The Museum
Assistant will work in the History Center and Archives from 10-3, Tuesdays through Fridays. Occasional
weekend work may be required to assist in setting up for events. Organized, detail-oriented, creative,
and engaging people are encouraged to apply. Must be available to start by February.
Job duties:
-Oversee DonorView database, which consists of master mailing list, volunteer database, emails, ticket
sales, donor tracking, and memberships
-Maintain social media and develop new ideas for improving digital outreach
-Assist art show committee with implementation of art show including volunteer recruitment and desk sales
-Update website as needed
-Assist with organizing newsletter
-Mailings
-Assist in setup and takedown at events
-Facilitate communication with school groups, schedule tours and field trips as necessary
-Represent CCHA as point of contact for all interested groups
-Organize volunteer database with assistance from Director
-Organize and maintain Master Mailing List with Director
-Process and administer memberships
-Send out donation thank you letters
-Organize printed materials for CCHA committee and Board meetings
-Take flyers to businesses around town
-Keep brochure bins stocked
-Maintain stock of office supplies
-Other duties as assigned
Daily Tasks:
-Answer phones
-Greet visitors to Archives
-Check voicemail
-Check mail (arrives at post office after 10 a.m.)
-Check emails (admin email as well as [email protected])
-Review and post social media posts/comments/messages
